Trending Stories

A quick scout for editorial angles — X-first for speed, web for corroboration. Built for commissioning demos, not deep research.

• Refine search — type any topic (e.g. Chinese cars) and search with zero presets selected.
• Presets — open the Presets panel to toggle optional topic chips for this search; add or remove saved presets (stored in this browser).
• X-first discovery — stories are sourced from recent X posts and trending topics for maximum recency; trust scores rise when accredited web outlets corroborate.
• Accredited sites — optional whitelist; X is searched first. When a story links out to the web, matching domains boost trust and filter relevance.
• Refresh — stories auto-refresh at 7:00 and 12:00 UK; use Refresh now for an immediate server pull.
• Sort — trust (high first), date, source, or headline — whatever helps you pick the lead angle.
• Images — with Prioritise stories with images on (default), stories with thumbnails and higher trust rise to the top; turn off to use only the Sort order.
• Open a story — click the headline to read the source; use the heart to save favourites for later (stored in your browser).
• Create brief — tick row checkboxes (or use Brief on a row), then Create brief from selected. Add a title and issue; slot stays blank and full story context goes into brief notes.
• Create Agentic article — optional checkbox in the brief dialog. When on, the brief is created and an AI draft is generated immediately for human editorial review.
