Stakeholder deck Workflow stages

End-to-end process model

Summary reference for steering and training. Routing happens on the issue board (slot, team, P-tag, A-tag). Orchestration moves each slot through brief → article → layout → dossier, with a parallel picture workflow and the Magic button to publish layout truth back upstream.

Stakeholder deck alignment: Matches MFP Demo overview pack v1 BU (11 slides) — POC intro, A1–A4, pre-planning (cascade + agentic bulk), home, blueprint, issue board, horizon, six-stage workflow. The live portal adds process model (this page), picture injection, Magic button (V2), brief/article libraries, and editor review. In-browser executive walkthrough →

Main editorial pipeline

Six stages — one slot travels left to right. Picture injection, agentic bulk, and Magic button are described in separate sections below (not overlaid on this diagram).

1

Blueprint

Master plan: slot codes, page spans, content types, allowed layouts.

2

Issue plan

Place slots on an issue (13 / 52-week horizon); colour status on the board.

3

Brief

Commission angle, headline intent, references; A3 = writer assignment.

4

Article creation

Story file V1 — copy, captions, editorial images (A1–A4).

5

Layout

InDesign spread: final text flow and pictures in frames.

6

Dossier

Print-ready handoff; locked package for production.

Locked lane

A1 agentic fill · A4 cascade reuse — template-heavy, faster throughput.

Flexible lane

A2 brief-driven · A3 writer-led — more editorial freedom per slot.

Supporting workflows

These run alongside the main pipeline — each ties to specific stages above.

Picture injection workflow

Feeds → Brief · Article creation · Layout

Reference URLs at brief; editorial images on the article; frame placement on the spread. Admin sets picture counts in Settings.

Brief · Article · Layouts

Agentic bulk content generation

Preplanning → Article creation

Batch content and image prompts; launch many drafts for an issue. Output lands as Article V1 ready for layout.

Bulk Agentic · Generate drafts

Magic button (reverse content flow)

Layout → Article V2 (published) · optional Brief sync

When layout is truth, promote copy and pictures back upstream. V1 stays in history; V2 is canonical for cascade and reuse.

Editor review · Slot detail

Picture injection (detail)

Three levels where images are added. Admin sets how many pictures are allowed (article template + layout catalog).

Brief = direction Article = story file Layout = spread frames

1 · Brief

Reference image URLs and moodboard links — creative direction only, not final crops.

Create brief · Brief library

2 · Article creation

URLs + captions saved on the article. Brief refs flow forward; new pictures can be article-only (not on the brief).

Create / edit article · Article library

3 · Layout

Designer places pictures on spread frames (hero, img_2, …) using an allowed layout page from the blueprint line.

Editor review (preview) · Layout pages catalog

Magic button (layout → published V2)

When layout is the source of truth, the editor promotes changes back upstream. This creates a published V2 article (canonical for cascade and reuse). V1 stays in history. Brief can sync headline, body excerpt, and reference images.

✦ Magic button Layout edits → Article V2 (published) → optional Brief sync Try in Editor review
V1First article file from brief, writer, or agentic pipeline.
V2+Post-layout canonical version after Magic button; marked Published in the library.
DefaultPromotion is explicit (button click), not automatic on every layout save.

One-slot narrative (cheat sheet)

  1. Plan the slot on the issue board (P-tag, A-tag, team).
  2. Brief the commission — include picture references where helpful.
  3. Generate (optional) Agentic bulk in preplanning — drafts into Article creation.
  4. Write Article creation V1 — copy plus images; some may exist only in the article.
  5. Layout the spread in InDesign — final text and frame placement.
  6. Magic button when layout is truth — publishes V2 and optionally updates the brief.
  7. Cascade or dossier uses published V2, not pre-layout V1.
